In this fascinating and transformative workshop we look at the art of using abstraction to make your images stronger, more creative and engaging.
We will look at why we use abstraction, reality anchors and how they help the viewer interpret your images, we’ll explore the concepts of artistic intent and the curiosity gap before looking at the 10 different forms of abstraction.
Additionally, we’ll discuss how to use them in camera and, or in simple post processing techniques.
This interactive zoom workshop is designed to give you a range of creative techniques and practical tips that you can use to up your game.
Whilst we will be exploring abstraction via the genre of street photography, the principles and techniques are applicable to various genres.
Although your taste levels for abstraction will vary, I’ve designed this workshop for both newer street photographers, and especially those who have been shooting for a while and want to develop further (including my advanced Street Ghosts group).

Format:
This is a zoom based interactive learning workshop over three hours with 2 x breaks.
This workshop will be for 8 – 10 people only and will be the same as a face to face workshop, just from the comfort of your own home. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with working on-line the tutor will be there to guide you through each step.
You will be sent an email with the zoom link and instructions week before the workshop.
