This is brand new for 2025 and is a unique opportunity to learn my new street dynamic movement signature look and techniques giving your images a unique, fresh, dynamic, often unrepeatable aesthetic.

For this technique we need a busier time, so this workshop is only available on Saturdays.

 

Is this for me?

This London Street Photography Workshop is suitable for photographers at all levels including beginners.

We start the day over a coffee and discuss where attendees are, what they’d like to achieve long term and what they’d like to achieve on the day.

The small group will be led by multi award winning photographer Simon Ellingworth and he will share his favourite London locations in the area.

During the initial briefing you will learn techniques to enable you to:

• Simplify your settings for sucess
• Create unique dynamic movement images
• To shoot through moments to get more keepers
• To slow down and really start to read the street
• Rethink street photography in very simple terms

We will discuss how to approach each location, overall vision, composition, perspective, etc,

You will have the opportunity to explore each location and shoot under the watchful eye of Simon.

This is a full day practical development day with lots of one to one attention and shooting time which will push you beyond your current skill base.

What’s included?

A days on location tuition and shooting around London.

This workshop starts at 10:45am to allow attendees to use off peak travel to Brick Lane (nearest station: Liverpool Street) ending at 4pm in the same location.

 

 

Experts Credentials:

I’m Simon Ellingworth a full time photography educator & one to one mentor, with over a decades experience creating and delivering education for The Royal Photographic Society, I  specialise in street, black and white photograph, composition, gestalt theory available light portraiture.

With over 26 x International photography awards including 6 x ‘Mono Vision Awards’, 3 x ‘Monochrome Awards’, 3 x ‘Sony Awards’ and most recently, 1st place in the highly contested ‘2024 International Photography Awards’ in the professional category; selected from 14,000 entries from more than 100 countries.

During my workshops I like to challenge people’s thinking, change the way they see the world, and provide technical liberation from their camera with simple new ways and techniques to craft compelling images through a lens.
