In this inspiring workshop, we will look at the work of 7 influential masters of street photography. For each of the 7 masters, Simon Ellingworth will explain their strengths, and you’ll be set tasks to discover which elements of their work, philosophy, and artists intent, personally resonated with you as an artist.

You’ll have 2 weeks to produce a small body of work to explore with constructive, insightful, and personlised feedback on each project from our lead street photography educator Simon Ellingworth.

Recommended prior knowledge

This program has been specifically designed for photographers who have already completed our Compelling Street Photography workshop & Artist Development Level 1 Workshop.

Course Outline

The 2 hour sessions will be delivered every other week, consisting of an image review from the previous session (3 images per participant), followed by the next project brief and educational framework to equip you with the skills to execute it.

You will then have two weeks to shoot the brief, making this a very practical, hands on learning experience.

About the Tutor:

Simon Ellingworth is a multi award winning Fine Art Street Photographer.

Simon has featured in the ‘International Photography Awards‘, was a finalist in the ‘International iPhone Photography Awards‘, ‘Mobile Photography Awards‘ & ‘Professional Photographer of the Year‘, previously runner up in ‘Professional Photographer of the Year‘ and ‘Sony World Photography Awards‘. Simon’s tutorials have been published by a number of blogs including Lifehacker, Life in Lofi, SLR Lounge. His limited edition Fine Art Street Photography prints are sold globally by Saatchi galleries and more.

Simon is a passionate educator, a lover of simplicity on both gear and technique and welcomes photographs of all abilities and with cameras from iPhones, mirrorless to DSLRs. He is super welcoming, inclusive and very enthusiastic.

Persons under the age of 16 are welcome to attend events but, to conform with UK law, must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.

RPS Cancellation Policy

Please inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a course as it is not possible to refund any cancellation or transfer to another workshop less than 14 days prior to course start date. The Society reserves the right to cancel a workshop 7 days prior to its start date – please check your hotel and travel cancellation policy as this may be affected.
