If you’re ready to evolve from single hero images to producing projects and bodies of work, then we have the perfect development program for you. This workshop consists of inspiring education and 8 imaginative and executable project briefs shot over a 16 week period with constructive, insightful feedback on each project.

NEW Mono Vision – Creative Challenge: Level 4 – Simon Ellingworth
6 two hour interactive sessions over 11 weeks using zoom.
This workshop is not genre specific.
Recommended prior knowledge
To take part in this course you must have already completed Mono Vision Creative Challenge Level 3.
This is also suitable for people who’ve attended the Developing your Mono Vision.

Week 1: Monday 13 Jan – 18:00 – 20:00
Week 2: Monday 27 Jan – 18:00 – 20:00
Week 3: Monday 10 Feb – 18:00 – 20:00
Week 4: Monday 24 Feb – 18:00 – 20:00
Week 5: Monday 10 Mar – 18:00 – 20:00
Week 6: Monday 24 Mar – 18:00 – 20:00
This interactive zoom workshop consists of 6 x 2-hour sessions with 5 shooting challenges with personalised feedback, over a 11-week period.
During the workshop, we will look at the works of several incredible mono pioneers and innovators to inspire you. There will also be a mono editing challenge with an editing brief and raw files provided using a free trial version of Silver Efex Pro 3 available to download here. The sessions will be interactive, zoom based. you will submit a statement of intent and number of images inspired by the previous weeks chosen artist.
Each session will be an opportunity to show images shot since the last workshop for review.
The group is supported by a private WhatsApp group to develop your ideas and create a community of like-minded individuals. This WhatsApp group will outlive the duration of the workshop.
Outcomes
By the end of this workshop you will have shot and had critiqued 5 x mono projects inspired by the work of creative black and white photographers. You will have been challenged and developed as a photographer, have a new found level of confidence and understanding of both mono photography and creative development.
You will need
Each session will be recorded and be available for 7-10 days and you will be provided with a PDF of the slide deck, and upload links for you work.

About the Tutor:
Simon Ellingworth is a multi award winning Fine Art Street Photographer.
Simon has featured in the ‘International Photography Awards‘, was a finalist in the ‘International iPhone Photography Awards‘, ‘Mobile Photography Awards‘ & ‘Professional Photographer of the Year‘, previously runner up in ‘Professional Photographer of the Year‘ and ‘Sony World Photography Awards‘. Simon’s tutorials have been published by a number of blogs including Lifehacker, Life in Lofi, SLR Lounge. His limited edition Fine Art Street Photography prints are sold globally by Saatchi galleries and more.
Simon is a passionate educator, a lover of simplicity on both gear and technique and welcomes photographs of all abilities and with cameras from iPhones, mirrorless to DSLRs. He is super welcoming, inclusive and very enthusiastic.

The Society reserves the right to cancel a workshop 7 days prior to its start date – please check your hotel and travel cancellation policy as this may be affected.
